LAST GAME FOR THE SENIORS

3rd and 4th placing - Seniors

The senior girls came in 3rd ytd [ 27-07-09 ].
First quarter : Leading by 2 goals.
Second quarter : Leaing by 3 goals.
Third quarter : Leading by 2 goals.
Last quarter :Won by 1 goal.


As you can see,the score difference for each quart was very little and at any moment,the opponent could catch up ! Judging by the way the girls played,I could tell that the Hildans really wanted the 3rd placing badly,and I am dead serious. Many interceptions were made by Rachel Koh [GD] and Shak [ GK] ! Well done guys!

In the first quart,the girls making a few silly mistakes - overthrowing and stepping.
Mainly,the mistakes were made by the attackers. However,the defenders did a great job in bringing the ball back from SMP'S attacking side to SHP'S attacking side. Many interceptions were made by Shak [ GK] .

In the second quart, the girls were BACK. The attackers were doing very well and Amanda Yew [GS] was able to put in shots from far distances. Charamaine Foo [ C] and Tian ChinYee [ WA] did a good job in feeding the ball to Amanda. However,there were some times where they were rushing their passes and the ball ended up in the defender's hands. Our defenders were all pumped up and were playing so aggressively that they mananged to grab almost all the loose balls over on SMP'S attacking side.

In the third quart,knowing that we were only leading by 2 goals,the girls were determined to make the goal difference bigger. Passes were strong and defenders were putting up an excellent performance. Attackers, WERE PLAYING HARD. There were a few times where SMP'S GK was able to intercept the balls from WA to GS and therefore preventing SHP from scoring.
at the end of the third quart,it was still not safe! SMP could catch any moment in the fourth quart! Coach Zam&Loh told the girls not to be complacent and to give their all for the last quarter. THE LAST TEN MINUTES THAT THEY COULD PLAY WITH THEIR TEAMATES FOREVER :(.

In the fourth quart,there was only 3 min left and SMP and SHP were both 21-21.SHPS really wanted to win badly and gave their all. In the end,SHP won SMP 23-22.

It was a great moment for the HILDANS when the umpire blew the whistle signalling the end of the entire game. HILDANS WON AND Mr Nizam was pleased and very proud of the girls.

The girls were then "waited on" by a group of the senior girls' parents aka the PSG[ parents support grp]. They were given chocalates,100 plus and more snacks!

Seniors,u did well! And I feel so proud wearing the SHP NETBALL jersey! to those who didn't get to play on this last game,those who had played would sincerely like to thank you for always being there to support us and encourage us!

No more netball for the seniors,concentrate on PSLE. I'm thinking that they next PSLE top-scorer would be Amanda Yew , 295 !

and Juniors,work hard! Next year,National Champs la huh ?
