Lets update the netball blog. Sorry I did not update for so long.
Nationals 2010
As the Nationals have already started since school reopened, Hildan Seniors did not manage to qualify for the next round.
Saint Hilda vs Evergreen
20-22
First match was against Evergreen. We lost by 2 points. Carelessness and not focusing. Our main shooter, should have scored in when she had the chance to do so! But, she missed it. Due to that, we lost the game. 2 of our main players were injured due to sprained ankle and fever. After the game, we sat down and talked on how we are going to improve and what mistakes we did.
Saint Hilda vs CHIJ Kellock
13-33
Due to the sharp shooting of CHIJ Kellock's GS, our defenders were no able to intercept any lobes passed to her. They tried their best, but, were unable to do so. For the attackers, passes were intercepted from the mid court to attacking court. When the shooters had the chance to shoot, they were not able to do so. After their game, they sat down and cried. Nationals were over for them. We have disappointed our coach and school. But, we were told to play with pride for our final game.
Saint Hilda vs Greenridge.
23-5
As this was their last game together, they played with pride. This time, our players whom did not play for the earlier games, played for that match. Shooters were shooting. Defenders tried their best to intercept. The hildan spirit was there, for their last game. Before the umpires whistled for the final quarter, we got together, hands together. "One last time whoosh," said Mr Nizam. The girls heard. As the umpire blew the whistle, the girl shouted "One Last Time Whoosh!" And they stepped in the court. It was a good last quarter, last minute interceptions, chasing for lose balls. As the umpire blew once again signaling the end of the quarter, the girls shook hands with Greenridge. They left CCAB with pride.
Now, Seniors, the most important thing now is to study hard for PSLE and dsa to the school of your choice. Some of you may have already dsa, but, do also study hard yeah.

No training this week. Most of the seniors are scare as they think they will forget all the things they had learnt and their fitness level. The only thing to do is to do your own fitness.
The nationals are in 5 more days. Here's something to motivate you all.
( Seniors may know this as Mr Loh had given this to us last year )
Anything Is Possible
By Melissa Underwood
Anything is possible if you think it is worthwhile
If you're willing to go the distance, to go the extra mile.
With determination and effort, you can often achieve more.
Because you dont always get what you wish, but what you work for.
Dreams can become challenging, but no matter what the cost
Strive to complete the task before you, and you'll never end up lost.
So bring with you your goals, leave your doubts behind
Whether you think you cant or can't, you certainly will find
You'll be right either way - So never quit, and this is why:
You'll bever become a failure, until you fail to try.
All the best!

Well, since the netball blog is dead, according to some players, i'll make it alive then.
The Nationals are starting in about exactly 10 days. So, go for your jogs or anything that will help you in netball. Shooters must really do shooting in their own free time. Mr Nizam is checking on our matches, so, we'll have to wait.
I know most of the seniors are busy with their DSA and all that. But, please, study. Some of are weak in certain subjects. i know Math is a killer. Try to find some time with your teachers and ask them bout certain questions. And, Keep in contact when we leave Saint Hildas.
Remember;
We are a family.
Jia You. First match when school reopens on 28 June. Trainings have yet to be confirmed.

East Zone Finals 2010
Saint Hildas Primary vs Pasir Ris Primary.
28-17
All packed and ready to go, we set off for ITE College East.
The seniors were very quiet, thinking about the game. It was a very crucial game for them.
The seniors were very quiet, thinking about the game. It was a very crucial game for them.
Doing their warm-ups and drills properly, they were all set.
Doing our favourite cheer, ' Wazzzuuppp..... Saint Hildas Whoosh! ',
We stepped in to the court, our minds was all set.
It start off with our centre pass, which landed in to the goal.
Some of our centre passes was intercepted. but, Our defenders worked hard,
and caught the rebounds. We improved quarter by quarter.
But, the last quarter, was the most improved quarter.
Shooters was shooting well, Defenders were catching lose balls and rebounds.
Seniors, we did a great job today. dont be too sad that we din have the gold throphy.
We'll get it for our school during Nationals! JY!
Would like to thank the photographer, Casandra Neo & Alexandra.
picture not in high quality cause Aerina's camera had full memory.

It was a very difficult game. Contacts, stepping, dragging were made from both schools.
We made inaccurate passes. Attacking wasn't doing well.
This Wednesday, 21/04/10, is the finals. Senior girls will be competing for 3rd and 4th.
May they bring glory to our school. Go Forward!

The seniors will be challenging Fengshan this Monday.
It was a very bad game. There were many silly mistakes (eg. not looking at the ball, taking a step back when opponents takes a snap-shot, etc.) Some players were even jogging on court even when she was supposed to sprint. Passes wasn't reaching, especially passes to the shooters.
The shooters were not taking any chance to shoot. The seniors would really have to improve on their mistakes made. May we play a better game this Monday at Jun Yuan Primary.
Credits to Insyirah for calling the Juniors.

Saint Hilda's Primary vs Temasek Primary
This is the serious face of CAPTAIN AERINA :)
SHPS SENIOR TEAM
East Zone Round 1, Game 4
St Hilda's Primary vs Temasek Primary
41-5
Overall performonce : Attackers did a good job while defenders have to work harder. But good job to everyone for the fighting spirit!
Nice catch by Kai Ting. Good Job!
Liz's weird jumping.
Fadzlyn can jump real high, do not underestimate her by height.
I felt that you girls were pretty blur, but good job to Aerina for her great shooting! And also, the rest of you were fighting hard for each ball but I'm sure you girls are more capable than this!
OKAY AND THE LAST PHOTO IS REALLY COOL:
You guys really ought to thank Mr Nizam for being such a caring and dedicated coach!
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, OUR DEAREST SENIOR 2009 BATCH :
Do come back and support your juniors when you have the time!
THE END.

East Zone Round 1 ( 4th Game )
St Hilda's Primary VS Macpherson Primary
Insyirah jumping for ball.40 - 1
Overall performance: not up to expectation
Lots of silly mistakes made. Defenders was a little clumsy, not very bad.
I think attackers did a great job except for rushing too much, and remember to practise shooting more often.
Kai Ting saving the ball but not knowing how to turn to make a pass.
