Our Netball girls finish the East Zone Tournament with a pulsating final against Fengshan and Tanjong Katong yesterday. Both teams finish in second place after 3 weeks of competition. The Jr finals played against Fengshan finished 29-11. They were clearly the better team but our girls have done us proud by beating TKPS in the semis and reaching the finals this year.
Our Senior girls gave TKPS a hard fight all the way to the end. It was all square after the 3rd quarter which showed how much our girls have improved over the last 3 months. The last time these 2 teams met, TKP won 32-10. This time our girls manage to complete the game with a score 21-17. We salute the girls for the most exciting finals for a long time. We wish them all the best for the Nationals and hope to meet the same two teams again. A big thank you to Mr Zanizam and Mr Aloysius who trained the team on their own. Truly dedicated teachers! We also like to thank all the supporters who came down. It was also a first time the whole steering committee took time off from their busy meetings to come down and support the teams. To God be the Glory!!
